In this episode we take a look at what's normal and how it can become a dangerous trap to slip into. This affects parents and children alike. Here we take a look at the culture in this world, specifically around sex, and how that may be influencing us as parents as well as our children. There are a lot of norms to break. So let's exemplify a true culture for our kids, support them in the challenges in standing up for their true selves, and let's build a community and culture that lifts each other up to an enriching standard, rather than a destructive one.…

It's true our kids are watching us, looking for an example to follow, whether consciously or unconsciously. So it's important we do what we say, live what we preach. We may catch ourselves not completely aligning to what we say or truly want. What then? We can feel estranged from our ideals when they seem so far away. But what I'm asking is for you to shift your focus from perfection to integrity. That means answering the question, what can I do about it now? How can I get on the path I want to be on? How can I keep my integrity? Diana, mom of 3, and I talk about the different ways this plays out in daily parent life. I hope this episode helps you to see integrity as an inspiring super power, for you to live your best life for the sake of your yourself and your kids!…
Who do you have that you can talk with and open up to? A lot of us are missing that. For whatever reason, we often forget to prioritize thriving friendships, especially when becoming a parent and allocating most of our attention to our precious children. But parenting is so much easier when you have that small handful of people who are there to support you. Lynnda and Deborah created Moms Village , specifically for mothers to share with each other. We talk about the value of sharing with others, how it can help us in our marriage and parenting and how specifically sharing vulnerable topics with people we trust can help us experience more compassion and depth in our relationships. For some, it may take courage, but we hope you'll not only understand but truly experience the rewards of deepening your relationships!…

A lot of things in parenting take courage. Conversations about sex are probably a big one for many parents! Here, Benjy and I have a great conversation about: When were we fearful in parenting? What’s the difference between being fearless and having courage? How can we have courage in talking with our kids about sexuality? A great point Benjy makes in this conversation is, we shouldn’t let fear stop us in guiding our kids towards what God has in store for them. A part of that is overcoming our own fear or discomfort, so we can share some of the deepest conversations one can have in life. God’s invention of sexuality.…
