“I used to be the largest dairy consumer on the planet. I used to eat so much dairy and meat. The more that I looked into the dairy industry, the more that I saw that it was the singular, most inhumane industry on the planet, that we've all been lied to, including myself, for years. I always believed that the picture on the milk carton, the cow standing next to her calf in the green field with the red barn in the back was true. It’s certainly the complete opposite.” – Richard (Kudo) Couto Richard (Kudo) Couto is the founder of Animal Recovery Mission (ARM), an organization solely dedicated to investigating extreme animal cruelty cases. ARM has led high-risk undercover operations that have resulted in the shutdown of illegal slaughterhouses, animal fighting rings, and horse meat trafficking networks. Recently, they released a damning investigation into two industrial dairy farms outside of Phoenix, Arizona supplying milk to Coca-Cola’s Fairlife brand. What they uncovered was systemic animal abuse, environmental violations, and a devastating betrayal of consumer trust. While Fairlife markets its products as being sourced "humanely," ARM’s footage tells a very different story—one of suffering, abuse, and corporate complicity. Despite the evidence, this story has been largely ignored by mainstream media—likely due to Coca-Cola’s massive influence and advertising dollars.…

×Larry and I have been struggling with the terrible twos these days. We've been smacked in the face with our own behavior and are quickly realizing we need to nip our actions in the butt because it is affecting our oldest daughter greatly. One thing we forget is that she is only two years old. She acts so mature for her age - speech, learning, her speaking full sentences, it just amazes us that sometimes she emotionally acts the way that she does. Lately, we've been noticing she's been craving more of our attention... so you know what that means she's doing? Tantrums... Hitting... Bullying... Coming out of her room and nap-time and bedtime... Anything to get a big reaction out of us. So, something we've learned and that we're starting to implement is that we need to change OUR behavior. She's learning from us! Boy, that's a smack in the face, right? We need to change our behavior to encourage better learned behavior on her part... So this may look like ignoring a tantrum or hitting someone, and instead praising the good behaviors she does all of the time... It might look like making bed time more enjoyable and a quality-time focused event where we make it enjoyable for her and give her more autonomy so there is less of a power struggle by asking her questions that make her feel like she's in control. Or giving her the power to say "night night book, instead of just taking it away." Demonstrating more emotionally intelligent behavior, speaking to her nicely, and treating her with respect is going to yield a far greater outcome than yelling, spanking, or taking away her toys... You know what that will teach her? To yell, hit when she doesn't get what she wants, or to take a toy away from another child. So, this realization came in one of OUR late night talks because it's been a real problem. And we want to be solution focused, not place blame on one another, and be the best parents we can be for our girls. So, if you are having some difficulties with your kids I want to give you some key practices to work through with your partner... Because you two need to be united in your parenting so that you are consistently providing the same example behavior and encouraging the same good behaviors. I want you to write down three behaviors you've noticed in your kids that are troublesome. Now, I want you to write down three behaviors you are doing that may be teaching them each of those troublesome behaviors. Now, talk with your partner about these behaviors you're demonstrating and how it correlates with the behavior your child is showcasing. How are you going to be better today? It's not gonna be as quality as if you're helpful. 13:34 - Have a decent morning routine that puts you on the right headspace first thing in the morning and set yourself for success. In this episode, Alyssa and Larry unpack a Tony Robbins workshop and share their thought about mindset and how our mindset affects the way we see life. They mention that one of the most important things Tony Robbins teaches is that we need to identify our limiting beliefs in order to change our mindset. Alyssa and Larry mention some of the common limiting beliefs that people have, such as "I'm not good enough" or "I can't do it". After discussing some of the ways in which these beliefs can hold us back, they share some tips on how to begin changing our mindset. Overall, this is an insightful episode that will leave you with a lot to think about. Today's goals: We encourage listeners to challenge their own limiting beliefs and to adopt a growth mindset. By doing so, We believe that anyone can achieve their full potential. Episode Highlight: 01:53 - We just make our own barriers, and we build up walls to protect us, but it winds up holding us back. The walls that protect you also imprison you. 02:51 - Break down those walls that you build up, in that it's all in your head. Everything that you believe is all in your head, and can be changed to something that is better. 04:40 - When I talk, I have a really soft voice normally. So people probably just don't hear me. But I take it as my voice is invalid. And then I'm annoying when I talk. And of course, what that cost me is that it cost me friendships and connections and being able to share my story and my experiences that could potentially help somebody because of that limiting mindset. 10:25 - The limiting belief that you don't know how to do something shouldn't exist. And it's very easy to flip that belief. 11:33 - The more you do something, the more natural it becomes, the more you do it, the better you get. Practice makes better. Parenting and business can be a uniquely difficult combination. On the one hand, parenting requires a lot of time, energy, and focus. On the other hand, building a business can be all-consuming, leaving little room for anything else. This can create a real struggle for parents who are also entrepreneurs. In this episode, Alyssa and Larry share their thoughts about parenting and business. They discuss the challenges they've faced in trying to balance both parenting and business responsibilities. They also offer some great tips for overcoming these challenges, like hiring a babysitter. If you're a parent who is also trying to build a business, this episode is definitely for you. Today's Goals: Starts by getting organized and prioritizing your time. Make a schedule and stick to it as much as possible. Delegate tasks whenever possible so you're not trying to do everything yourself. And don't forget to make time for yourself! parenting is a lot of work, and it's important to take breaks whenever you can. When you find that elusive balance, parenting and business will both be a lot easier. Episode Highlight: 02:23 - We've got our hands in quite a few different businesses and it requires a lot of time and even like this now, like you can't record anything with children within a five mile radius, because they're loud and needy. 04:31 - The way that we're able to get everything done is with our village. Like we really rely on them. So we have a regular babysitter that we call to help us, especially when we have events on the weekends. 05:21 - Everyday at their home, and that we're home with them. We try and make count, spend the day with them and kind of do the small things around the house that can be done but not so much work. But it's to the point where it's like they need to be in daycare, or else we can't pay our bills. 07:32 - If you can take someone else's kids and exchange, exchanged back and forth, do it, because you'll be so much more productive and so much less stressed.
