Myths About Alcohol And Sanitizers Show Notes: WHO recommended recipes: https://www.who.int/gpsc/5may/Guide_to_Local_Production.pdf How is Isopropyl Alcohol Made? Component of fossil fuel: propene (carbon and hydrogen (C3H6)) Isopropyl Alcohol is made from propene and water carbon and hydrogen (C3H6) plus hydrogen and oxygen (H20) to create isopropyl alcohol (C3H7OH). https://sciencing.com/isopropyl-alcohol-made-5574730.html Is Isopropyl alcohol a central nervous system depressor? Nausea. Irritability. Headaches. Poisoning through skin contact or inhalation. It is very hard to get poisoning from inhalation. You would need to be around a massive spill or be doing it on purpose through huffing to get high. Consider hospitals. They use isopropyl alcohol to disinfect all surfaces plus to clean and disinfect their tools. Do you see doctors and nurses having toxicity to isopropyl alcohol? No! The EWG rates Isopropyl alcohol as a 2. https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ingredients/703198-ISOPROPYL_ALCOHOL/ Additional sources: http://www.ilo.org/dyn/icsc/showcard.display?p_version=2&p_card_id=0554 https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/Isopropyl-alcohol#section=Solubility https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18593539/ https://www.drugrehab.com/addiction/alcohol/drinking-rubbing-alcohol/ https://www.cdc.gov/infectioncontrol/guidelines/disinfection/disinfection-methods/chemical.html https://www.drugs.com/alcohol.html Blending Fragrance with Vodka? “The alcohol in witch hazel is only sufficient to protect the witch hazel itself from some microbial growth. It will not effectively inhibit microbial growth in a spray or other product. In fact, it will provide food for microbes because it’s an herbal/botanical product/ingredient.” - Tisserand https://tisserandinstitute.org/effective-use-alcohol-aromatic-blending/…

Are You Being Deceived by Dr. Jen O'Sullivan
Frequency Generation Using Essential Oils Frequency is a very interesting idea that has become a big part of how we teach oils. While the science was sort of right, it is exciting because they are now understanding it in a way that makes more sense and is duplicatable. Haven’t you all be frustrated that there is a very short list of frequency readings for oils? That list is always the same and no one ever adds to it? I have always wondered why? Haven’t you? Frequency as we understood it went out of vogue in the 1970s. The reason is because sciences could not replicate frequencies. They found as they studied molecular frequency of various organic substances that it was totally dependent on temperature. Consider a bottle of Rose oil. It is considered to have the highest frequency at 320 MHz. What they got frustrated with was the inconsistency of those readings. The organic material is always dependent on temperature. If you take a bottle of Rose and measure the frequency in a cold lab vs. outside in warmer weather, the frequency is always different. There is no way to validate or confirm that frequency. A distributor many years ago did a home frequency test on Idaho Blue Spruce and measured it at 580 MHz. This was because it was measured in warmer temperatures. You can make any oil a higher frequency by raising the temp or you can lower it by lowering the temperature. Understanding now that measuring the frequency of the actual oil is not something you can replicate with any precise accuracy, let’s dive into what the science department at Young Living is working on, headed by Dr. Michael Buch our Chief Science Officer. Phyto-molecules, or plant molecules, have the exact same structure, charge, and shape to fit into our human receptors. This is very interesting because it is not random. The precision and accuracy is absolutely incredible! You may have heard about receptors and receptor chemistry. The basics of receptor chemistry is that there are specific chemical messengers that bind to a specific receptor that cause a specific response. Not all messengers fit into all receptors. It is like a lock and key. A good example of this is your senses. When an aromatic messenger is near you, it will fit into the receptors that trigger your sense of smell. Those same messengers do not fit into your sight receptors. In essential oils there are several types of messenger molecules. Some are the aroma messengers, some are the sense of touch molecules (think about the cooling sensation of Peppermint), while others are a specific action molecule that fits into other receptors to help your body perform at its best. As Dr. Buch put it, “We are more impressed about the frequency generated in the nervous system by your nerves after these molecules bind to specific receptors that were designed to receive them.” He went on to say, “It creates a frequency in your nervous system which is actually an electrical impulse. It is a precise frequency - the same every time!” What he was taking about is that it is more important for us to study clinical frequency rather than molecular frequency. He wants to understand the frequency that is generated by your body, in your body, by the molecules of the oils.
