Jonathan Jones is an NFL cornerback for the Washington Commanders who rose from the undrafted ranks to become two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, a businessman, philanthropist, and licensed pilot. In 2019, Jonathan founded the Jonathan Jones Next Step Foundation in 2019, a platform dedicated to empowering youth through education, professional development, and mentorship. The foundation works to alleviate food insecurity, promote women in stem and sports, and to promote professional development in the communities where he lives. But with new technologies from Microdrones, the use cases of drones are expanding year after year, especially in the construction field. Joining us today on Propelling is Dominik Wojcik from Microdrones to break down this European market. "The eastern part of Europe is way behind in infrastructure, especially when it comes to roads compared to western Europe. So basically it's one big construction site, and our products are suited for helping with this," Wojcik said. He discusses the drone market in eastern Europe, how Poland’s more open drone flying laws allowed their market to skyrocket, and how Microdrones' new technologies are extending the possibilities of what can be achieved by using drones.…

There are great things ahead for the commercial drone industry, said Samuel Flick of Germany-based Microdrones, which recently completed a successful corridor mapping mission on the Autobahn. Flick discussed the systems and commercial partnerships that made this feasible in this episode of Propelling. The mission was a key advancement in Beyond Visual Line of Sight, or BVLOS, making it possible to use drone aircraft for extended lengths of time and distances that would not otherwise be possible in advanced corridor mapping. "Microdrones is really at the forefront of this," Flick said. "Right now in Germany we have by law a 400 meter line of sight barrier, so you have view of the drone at every time. BVLOS really unlocks the potential of the drones."…
