Joining us on Luminate this week is Alan Patricof, one of the early pioneers of the venture capital and private equity industries.
In 1977, Alan founded APAX Partners, one of the largest private equity firms in the world and in 2006 he also co-founded Greycroft, which is a venture capital firm focusing on investment in the internet and mobile markets. His latest venture Primetime Partners, which is a seed and early-stage venture capital fund investing in companies transforming the underserved and trillion-dollar global sector of the ageing population.
He has helped build and fostered the growth of several major companies like America Online, Apple, Office Depot, Huffington Post, and he also served as the founding chairman of the New York Magazine.
In this conversation, we discuss his new book “no red lights”, he also shares his life experience in the venture capital world, how he makes investment decisions and how to be a successful investor.
