Salem lost one of its most outstanding community members this weekend. Known as a giving and compassionate man, Gerry had an incredible impact on the world around him, especially on the people he connected with here in Salem. "Following a long and fruitful life nearly a century-long, Gerry Frank has departed. He gifted us with a legacy of matchless deeds and memories. He leaves a loving family, an extended family of countless friendships, and an adoring public," his nephew said in a statement from his family. He served on various non-profit boards throughout his life. Some estimate he personally helped generate over $1-billion for non-profits.
