Josie is a British artist who paints realistic portraits of fictional characters from the world of film, television and music.
She usually works from Photographs taken from the film or television screen. In doing so she uses oil paint like watercolor to build up the paintings in thin layers of very diluted paint. That makes the surface of the paintings glow in an imitation of the cinema screen.
Josie won several prizes and her works are present in important collections.
