Manage episode 284756366 series 2583037
A conversation on upland bird taxidermy, quail hunting, bird dogs and more with Tony White of White Winged Artistry.
Taxidermist and upland bird hunter, Tony White, joins the show to talk about the do’s and don’ts of upland bird taxidermy. Born and raised in the tradition of quail hunting and quail conservation, it’s no surprise that Tony wound up an upland bird hunter. His father and brother are both quail biologists and Field and Stream went as far as to name them “The First Family of Quail.” Tony currently resides in Arizona where he operates his taxidermy business White Winged Artistry and is on the path to become an orthopedic surgeon. When he’s not pinning and preening feathers, Tony escapes to the uplands as often as he can chasing birds behind his pointing dogs.
