Coming from the second graffiti generation in Copenhagen, he still represents and combines the traditional New York sense of style – with an emphasis on the logical course of the letters, the dynamic and swinging rhythms of strokes and arrows – with a Danish and European sense of technology and sharp lines, graphic momentum and almost flawless handling of the spraycan. For almost 40 years, BATES has been one of the most important and influential graffiti artists worldwide!
