Today's Guest Host is... SLY!
Sly has been an educator for 13 years (as of 2023). She has taught elementary music and choir, ages PK-12. She first became interested in music in 4th grade when she was chosen to play the bell set for a song during the spring concert. This sparked a deep excitement to learn other instruments and join band. Continuing in college and realizing band was THE reason she showed up for school, Sly found her path. Taking her first job teaching K-8 music in the inner-city, never dreaming she’d end up teaching choir, but she is truly enjoying it! Sly loves her quirky middle school students, but when school is out, you can find her spending time with her amazing daughter and friends. When life gets overwhelming Sly likes to kick back with video games, baking, reading, puzzles, diamond art, or one of the other 643 crafts she’s started. She fully believes the sending memes, gifs, and funny videos to friends counts as a love language.
