Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s regime has encouraged the arrival of refugees in Belarus and has facilitated their transport though the country to the EU border. Refugees are used as a political instrument to put pressure on the neighbouring countries and the EU as a whole. Karolina Łukasiewicz from the University of Warsaw and ZOiS researcher Félix Krawatzek share their analysis of the situation.
